Commentary
" A blend of equal parts grenache and Syrah, the 2002 Côtes du Ventoux Le Domaine has peppery black fruit aromas. This excellent value sports a nose of peppery blackberries as well as a complex medium-bodied personality. Broad, lively, fruity, and forward, it coats the tester's palate with copious quantities of well-ripened, spice-laced dark cherries and blackberries. Drink it over the next 3 years.
Ruby-colored and displaying scents of red cherries intermingled with black raspberries, the 2002 Côtes du Ventoux Gaïa is an assemblage of 80% grenache and 20% Syrah. This dense concentrated, thick medium to full-bodied wine exhibits lovely layers of cassis liqueur, black raspberries and candled blackberries. Drink it over the next 4 years."
